ABOUT PETERBOROUGH

The Cathedral City of Peterborough must be one of the easiest places to get to, and get around in the whole of the UK.

Just off the A1M in the north of Cambridgeshire, it is surrounded by dual carriageways and well connected routes around the city centre. As it also lies on a main-line railway, many people choose to live in Peterborough and take the hour long train journey to London.

The City is once again enjoying fast expansion and redevelopment, bringing with it new jobs and new opportunities, though is very reminiscent of the 1970’s when massive building projects were undertaken to house the swelling population of the time. During those years great care was taken in the planning of the communities, meaning that you are never more than a few minutes bus or bicycle ride from the city centre, with all areas having extensive parks and local shopping facilities.

As you would expect from a vibrant city, there is much to do with your leisure time. Indeed, whilst Peterborough does not host a University, some say there is more to offer than the county capital of Cambridge.
